Ann I. Goldfarb AuthorNew York native Ann I. Goldfarb spent most of her life in education, first as a classroom teacher and later as a middle school principal and professional staff developer. Writing has always been an integral part of her world. For the past decade, she has written non-fiction for Madavor Media/Jones Publishing, but her real passion is writing mystery-suspense-adventure for young adult audiences. Time travel, the vehicle she embraces, is her hook into historical fiction.
Her first novel, The Face Out of Time, received a literary award from Arizona Authors Association in 2011 and her novel, The Last Tag, was a finalist in the 2012 New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards. Recently, newer novels Light Riders and the Morenci Mine Murder and Light Riders and the Fleur-de-lis Murder took Second Place and Honorable Mention, respectively, in the Purple Dragonfly Book Awards, and Morenci Mine Murder was a finalist in the 2013 New Mexico/Arizona Book Awards competition. In addition, she has received excellent national reviews (KIRKUS REVIEWS) for The Last Tag and Light Riders and the Morenci Mine Murder. Upon learning that snow was optional, she and her family moved to Arizona, where they currently reside near the foothills of the White Tank Mountains. Gale Leach AuthorGale had a number of different careers--including English teacher, gift shop buyer, craft wholesaler, American Sign Language interpreter, and finally technical writer and trainer--before she started her own business doing technical writing and editing for biotechnology companies. She ran that company successfully for over 20 years, until her husband suggested she retire early. She didn't think twice. She also never really retired.
After moving to Arizona, Gale fell in love with pickleball -- a wonderful sport with a silly name. She wrote her first book, The Art of Pickleball, in 2005, and it won the Arizona Book Award. In 2011, Gale finished her first novel, Bruce and the Road to Courage, a heroic fantasy for children. Spurred by an enthusiastic response, she continued Bruce's adventures in three subsequent novels and is now writing a young-adult series about technology, magic, and the mythological creatures you only thought weren't real. Visit Gale's website -- www.galeleach.com -- to learn more. You can also read and subscribe to her blog and find her on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media. Gale lives in Arizona with her husband, two dogs, and one cat. |
